Colorado Bend State Park is a 5,328 acre park along the Colorado River
in the Texas Hill Country. This park’s wide range of nature trails,
caves,
wildlife, plant life, and natural springs makes it popular for the nature
enthusiast. There are several
hiking trails
in Colorado Bend State Park
including the
Gorman Fall
trail. This trail is available only by guided
tour. You may also explore the caves of Colorado Bend but only with a guided
tour. Be sure to check the trail availability before you go because some
trails are only open seasonally. The park is located near
Lake Buchanan
which offers access by boat to the Colorado River parts of the year. Colorado Bend
State Park also offers, campsites, rest rooms, showers, boat ramp, and kayak rental.
