Dinosaur Valley State Park is a 1,524-acre park set around the Paluxy River. This park is also a National Natural Landmark. This park is located just northwest of Glen Rose and about 75 miles from Dallas in North Texas. In this park you will be able to see some of the best preserved dinosaur tracks in the world. These tracks are mostly in and around the Paluxy River bed. You can also see the two 70-foot fiberglass dinosaur models built in the 1960’s by the Sinclair Oil Company. Dinosaur Valley State Park also offers camp sites, hiking trails, restrooms, showers, picnic area, swimming/fishing areas, and a park store. There is also a 100-acre area set apart for horseback riding.
