Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Water Park is located across the street from Moody Gardens on Hope Boulevard in Galveston, Texas. Schlitterbahn is a 30-acre park and is made up of 2 outdoor parks and one indoor park. The outdoor water parks are called Blastenhoff and Surfenburg and the indoor water park is called Wasserfest. The two outdoor parks are open from April to September and the indoor park offers heated attractions and is open throughout the winter. Wasserfest was voted the number one indoor water park in the world by Amusement Today!

Attractions and rides at Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Water Park include about fifty high speed slides, rivers, uphill water coasters, tube chutes, kid 's. playgrounds, and a man made surfing wave. Schlitterbahn also has a Transportainment river system. Guests can get in this lazy river and get to any other part of the water park without walking.

Unlike most other water parks, visitors don't have to spend a lot of money on food and refreshments at Schlitterbahn Galveston. Guests can bring in their own food, drinks and coolers. Only glass and alcahol is prohibited. Tubes and life vests are provided free of charge. Schlitterbahn Galveston also offers free parking. These policies are the same at every Schlitterbahn Water Park.
