San Antonio, Texas:

San Antonio located in the northern part of South Texas and is visited by people from all over the world each year. San Antonio is the second largest city in Texas and seventh largest in the United States. San Antonio has a relatively moderate climate throughout most of the year although it does get a little warm in the summer months. The San Antonio area is very scenic. A person doesn not even have to get off of the freeway to enjoy the San Antonio scenic views. The view of the city from I-10 includes cliffs, rock formations, and sometimes sheer drops. San Antonio sits on one of the largest aquifers in the country. The Edwards Aquifer feeds many natural springs in San Antonio and the surrounding area. There are also several rivers in the area that are fed completely by Edwards Aquifer and its natural springs. This part of Texas is a huge change from what you may have seen if you are traveling west bound on I-10. San Antonio is where Texas really starts look like West Texas. The few trees that you do see are small and brown and the grass is sparse or non-existent. You will no longer see the miles of massive trees and thickets that you may have seen further east in the piney woods region but that beautiful scene is more than equally traded for the cliffs, mountains, and sometimes miles of open land of San Antonio and West Texas.
